Martin Karl Vanags is a seasoned economic developer with over 30 years of serving communities in leadership positions. His work in Illinois, Indiana, and New York has produced thousands of jobs, billions of dollars in capital investment, and award-winning marketing, entrepreneurship, and business development programs.

He currently consults with national and international clients and develops strategies for economic development organizations in attraction, BRE, small business mentoring, and culture change. He has an MPA from Northern Illinois University and is a devoted Chicago Cubs fan. He calls Rockford, Illinois, home (for now).
